One look at the S10 and it becomes obviously clear why it is the apple of Samsung's eye. Equally powerful and attractive, the latest Samsung S10 is a fitting tribute to the smartphone maker's S series, now celebrating its 10 anniversary.
To Infinity-O and beyond!
The S10's party-piece is its new Infinity-O Super AMOLED screen, taking up the entire front of the phone and reducing the front-facing camera to a punch-hole in the corner. The sensors for the camera are neatly tucked under the screen itself, as is a state-of-the-art ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. VR fans will be happy to know that the screen can deliver QHD+ resolution and a pixel density of 550ppi, which translates to incredibly high detail in videos.
Performance on par with the best
Considering the price range the Samsung S10 sits in, there are quite a few high-performance devices it must compete with. Thankfully, the S10 rises up the challenge and throws down the gauntlet with some seriously good performance stats. A big plus is the inclusion of 8GB of RAM, a big step up from the 4GB present in older S10s. Another win-point for the S10 is that it comes with Wi-Fi 6, offering a speed boost of upto 20% when paired with the right router. The 3,400mAH battery is perfect for everyday use while also keeping the weight on the lighter side.
Take pictures from any angle
The three rear-facing camera lenses on the S10 are an interesting mix. The 12MP regular lens gets paired with a 12MP telephoto lens (optical zoom) and an impressive 16MP ultra-wide lens. The end result is that the S10 can be used to take stunning pictures from any angle even in mixed and low-light conditions. The front-facing 10 MP camera is good on its own, but the picture quality is far better than expected thanks to the software magic the camera leans on.
With a big, gorgeous display and a solid telephoto lens on the rear camera, the S10 easily stands out not only from the competition but also within Samsung's own range of smartphones.
